Service
Parenting support
Therapeutic, non-judgemental support for parents and carers under strain.
What it is
We provide therapeutic support for parents and carers who are navigating stress, uncertainty, or the impact of a child’s emotional or behavioural challenges. This may include work around confidence, boundaries, emotional regulation, and understanding children’s needs.
Parenting support is offered in a non-judgemental and collaborative way, with a focus on practical strategies and emotional containment. It can be delivered individually or in groups, depending on need and funding arrangements. Group places are available from £30–£50 per session.
Who it’s for
- Parents and carers feeling stretched, unsure, or worn down
- Anyone parenting a child through a hard patch and wanting practical strategies
- Carers who would value support in a group with others in similar shoes
What a session is like
Sessions are 50 minutes and focus on you as a parent, not on judging your parenting. We start with what’s hardest right now and what a small, realistic change might look like. You leave with something practical to try, not a lecture. If you choose the group option, it is a supportive space with other parents rather than a class.
How to start
You can enquire directly, or ask a school, GP or local authority to refer you. Mention this service and we’ll pick up from there.
