Group therapy
Structured, psychologically informed support alongside others facing similar challenges.
What it is
Our group therapy offer provides structured, psychologically informed support for people who benefit from shared therapeutic work with others facing similar challenges. Groups may focus on emotion regulation, parenting under stress, complex emotional needs, or other themes shaped by community need and co-production.
Group work offers a supportive space to build insight, reduce isolation, and develop coping strategies alongside peers. Sessions are co-designed with service users and can complement individual therapy or form part of a stepped-care pathway.
Who it’s for
- People who find it helpful to know they are not the only one
- Those working on emotion regulation or coping under stress
- Anyone stepping up from, or alongside, individual therapy
What a session is like
A small, consistent group meets with one or two facilitators for a set number of weeks. There are shared ground rules about respect and confidentiality set on day one. You are never put on the spot — you can listen as much as you speak, especially early on. Each session has a gentle structure, and there is time to check in about how the group itself is going.
How to start
You can enquire directly, or ask a school, GP or local authority to refer you. Mention this service and we’ll pick up from there.
